For the four years of High school, I wondered what I would end up doing with my life…I thought I had my life figured and decided to go to SUNY Ulster for theatre. I believed the stage was my calling, and I came to it. I would go on to find that dramatics, while a wonderful thing to do, was not a career I could see myself being a part of. It was then that I decided to move onto a field I had thought rather little of, I had always been doodling in my spare time, yet never thought of making art my life, yet in the fall of 2014 I did, I transferred into Ulster’s superb Graphics program.
For the first year, I was on shaky ground, I was torn between what two pats of me wanted to do. I mulled over going back to theatre several times, yet I stayed, finding that I had come to enjoy design. I loved the challenge that came with placing the right object in the right area. I would later go on to work with my first client “The Barnabas” it was an eye opening experience and clinched my path on this route into the future.
What precisely is this future? Of course I wouldnt know for certain, I hope to continue my studies in Design, with any luck becoming a freelance designer, perhaps joining a firm. I have a personal liking for Book design and Web Design… Perhaps they are my path.
